The T1 is a dwelling with a main room. The difference with studios is that it has an extra space separate from the main room, which can be either a kitchenette or a corridor (the bathroom and toilet are also separate from other spaces).
T2 apartments have two large rooms: a living room and a bedroom. There is also a kitchen, a bathroom and a toilet (which can be in the bathroom or separate).
